QMI, Inc. Expands as an ongoing commitment to serve customers

Green Country Manufacturing Alliance and Grand Lake Manufacturers' Council are proud to present QMI, Inc. is ISO 9001 certified and services a variety of manufacturing firms. They are also proud manufactures of blown film hole punching and perforation equipment.

QMI, Inc. began its history as a production machine shop in Ft. Lupton, Colorado in 1979. At that time QMI serviced the medical and aerospace industries.

Due to business growth, QMI migrated south to establish its new home within the MidAmerica Industrial Park in Pryor, Oklahoma. QMI is locally owned by one who began working at the company right out of high school and has seen the company grow and progress since its early days in Colorado. Because it is local and family-owned, QMI understands it customers and knows what is important to their fellow Oklahomans.

QMI’s primary goal is to meet their customers’ needs. Their management team and offices are structured in a way that allows them to meet that goal quickly and efficiently. QMI has two (2) facilities and both use state of the art CNC and manual lathes & mills, single spindle screw machines, and a wide range of secondary tools and equipment. The Pryor facility also has welding equipment and metal fabrication capabilities.

The original QMI facility, now referred to as the Production Manufacturing Division, make parts for several OEM manufactures in the heavy equipment, oil and gas, defense, communications, tooling, and electric drive motor industries. It is also the home for hole punching and perforation equipment and parts production.

QMI is a world leader in moving web hole punching equipment design and manufacturing. They produce the most reliable, highest quality machines and parts available in the converting industry. They have been building high speed hole punching equipment for decades and customers world-wide vouch for the quality, efficiency and ruggedness of QMI equipment. Also, due to an association with ORION Electronic Equipment of Melbourne, Australia, QMI is able to provide customers with a complete line of bag making and converting equipment that is equal to QMI’s own quality and reliability.

The Specialty Machining Division, which opened in 2014, has the equipment and expertise to repair or rebuild machinery components and services a wide range of industrial customers. They have also become a supplier of many of the machined parts needed in their Production Manufacturing Division. The addition of equipment and personnel has enabled QMI to incorporate significant quality controls and cost cutting practices that were not available with outside suppliers.

QMI has recently qualified and obtained Prime contracting status for the Department of Defense. With this advancement into different areas of manufacturing, the QMI team is looking forward with great anticipation.

QMI considers each of their customers’ needs or problems as their own. They have provided services above and beyond those supplied by their competition by focusing on those needs and providing additional services, such as painting, assembling, and packaging, when needed.
